Abstract:Introducing image fusion technology into practical teaching, a comprehensive experimental platform for image fusion based on multi-scale transform was designed and implemented. The platform consists of four modules: image input, multi-scale transform, fusion rule selection, and result display. It visually demonstrates the impact of different multi-scale transform methods and fusion rules on fusion results, while quantitatively analyzing the quality of fused images through objective evaluation metrics. With a visual interface, modular implementation, and a multi-dimensional evaluation system, the platform helps students master the core principles and algorithm implementation of multi-scale fusion. It can be applied to experimental teaching and research training in courses such as digital image processing, medical image processing, and computer vision, effectively enhancing students" algorithm implementation capabilities and scientific research thinking.
